- The Faculty of Policy Studies offers educational programs that encourage students to learn independently and help them work together with their peers to solve local issues. This program is aimed at students who want to work as a public servant or in a private company. Specifically, a wide range of subjects are available, including public policy, economics, business administration, and law.
Department of Policy Studies
Policy sciences is said to be the study of ‘social problems’. The problems are the gap between people’s idea of a happy society and the actual social situation. Examples for the problems include global environmental issues, population decline in developed countries, and the international movement of workers. Policy sciences integrates the way of thinking from the social sciences that have been studied up until now. Social sciences are the study of disciplines such as economics, law, business administration, sociology information sciences, etc.
Department of Business Administration
In the Department of Business Administration, students will study about practical and applicable business administration as well as other related disciplines that are beneficial to the local community. We aim to train regional professionals who can utilize this knowledge to find solutions to local challenges and who can contribute to local sustainable development.
